February 2017 - Los Angeles, CA

Members of the Heartbreakers were able to attend the NHL All-Star weekend held in Los Angeles. They participated in all events, including the Fan Fest, Skills Competition, and the All-Star Game. This was such a great experience. We even got to pose with the Stanley Cup.

2015 Anaheim Throwback Tournament

February 13 -15, 2015

This Tournament was a coed one, but that didn't stop the Heartbreakers from being the majority of the team.

Destination Hockey Tournament

November 14 - 16, 2014

This tournament was held in Palm Springs, CA. The Heartbreakers competed in this tournament for the 2nd time and came up short in the winning department. The team did something different this year though as they decided to rent a house instead of staying at a hotel. It was a VERY nice home with lots of amenities. One of the Heartbreakers suffered a broken back after being hit from behind by one of the Penquinos players.

Play LA Tournament

August 29 - September 1, 2014

The Heartbreakers did a little house crashing this year as we decided to "crash" one of our teammates home and see how many of us could stay there. Besides all the shenanigans going on, the team managed to win the tournament!

26th Annual Arizona Hockey Classic

May 24 - 27, 2013

Can we say "CHAMPIONS"!!!

The Hearbreakers competed for the 15th conecutive year, winning all four games and being crowned the division champions. The Heartbreakers first game was a late one as their game started a little after 11pm on Friday May 24th, but that didn’t slow the team down as they scored their first goal just after four minutes into the game. The team scored a total of 3 goals in the first period, 3 more goals in the second period and they added another goal in the 3rd period to make the score 7-0. The Heartbreakers goalie stopped all shots from the opposing team and got the shut-out against the Phoenix Mid Ice Crisis. All seven goals scored in this game were from seven different players.

The second game was played at 7:30pm on Saturday the 25th against the Vancouver Hockey Bags. This game took a little longer to score the first goal of the game but once the team got going, they didn’t stop, winning this game 5 to 1. All 5 goals were scored by the teams two centers.

The third game was quite different as they played a team that had also not lost a game in this tournament, the Tucson Chilly Peppers and this game was at 11:20am on Sunday morning. The Heartbreakers are very familiar with this team as they have played against each other for a number of years. This game was a tough, fought out battle but the Heartbreakers came out with the win, beating the Chilly Peppers by a score of 4 to 3. These two teams would meet again in the evening for the championship game.

The championship game started out just as rough as how the previous game ended. The Tucson Chilly Peppers were determined to try and rattle the Heartbreakers by taking cheap shots at players but the Heartbreakers held strong and handed the Chilly Peppers a whooping as the final score was 6 to 0, which also gave the Heartbreakers goalie her second shut-out of the tournament. The Heartbreakers also had four players named to the all-tournament team and one player named the tournament MVP.

Congratulations Ladies for a well deserved win!!!

17th Las Vegas Women's Hockey Classic

January 24 - 27, 2013

MGM Grand Division Champions!!!

The Heartbreakers first game was against the Nor. Cal Bitch Please team. This game turned out to be against one of the hardest teams in the division, but luckily the Heartbreakers managed to pull off a win and beat them with a score of 5 to 4.

Game 2 turned out to be quite a different story as the Heartbreakers had an easy time beating the Washington X-Wolves by a score of 10 to 1. With this win, it guaranteed the Heartbreakers a spot in the championship game.

The third game of the tournament was against the Boston Pirates. The Heartbreakers once again had an easy win as they beat the Pirates by a score of 5 to 0 and giving the Heartbreakers goalie a shut-out.

The championship game was a hard one as they had to play against the Bitch Please team again. At the end of the first period, the Heartbreakers were trailing by a score of 1-0. As a matter of fact, the Heartbreakers were pretty much behind the entire game, until the team scored a goal to tie it up with about 5 minutes left in the third period. Then the Heartbreakers gained the lead when a goal was scored with on 21 seconds left in the game, giving the Heartbreakers a 4 to 3 lead. The team pulled together and were able to hold off the other team for the win and the championship title.
